Congratulations to our NMSU Graduates and their support!

A warm Aggie welcome to all NMSU Graduates, families, and friends. You all have played an important role in helping your student reach their educational goals. 

We proactively take steps to implement enhanced safety and security measures for the upcoming Commencement Ceremony, which will include clear bag searches and visual checks upon entering the building.  Graduates and their guests can assist in this process by refraining from bringing any bags, but if necessary, only clear bags are permitted.

  • Ticketing is not required for guests, graduates do need a ticket to attend (GradPass).
  • The Commencement Ceremonies will be held at the Pan American Center.
  • Graduate tickets will not be available on the day of the ceremony.
  • Graduates have until April 8, 2024  to electronically claim their ticket (GradPass).
  • The doors to the Aggie Memorial Stadium will open one hour prior to the ceremony start time.
  • NMSU practices a clear bag policy, guest bags including gifts should be in a clear bag and will be subject to search upon entry.
  • Balloons are not permitted into the Pan American Center. 
Accessibility Seating/Parking
  • The ceremonies will last approximately 2 hours. Guests that are in need of assistance before, during or after the ceremony should call the NMSU Special Events at 575-646-4413. The Aggie Memorial Stadium has accessibility seating along the main concourse and accessible parking.
  • Designated parking spaces are available for applicable guests. These spaces are designated for vehicles displaying a current state-issued placard. The parking spaces designated for guests are made available on a first-come, first-served basis. These spaces are in Lot 33, South of Pan American Center or Lot 29 North of the Pan American Center.
Photography & Video & Gifts
  • GradImages is the official photographer for Ceremony photos. GradImages will send each graduate their photo by email within 48 hours from the ceremony. Graduates can reregister for the photos online with GradImages here: https://www.gradimages.com/Registration 
  • Cameras are allowed for the Commencement Ceremonies, however, there is no designated photo taking area. Guests will take photos from their seats and should not gather in aisles or obstruct views. Tripods will not be allowed.
  • For guests unable to attend, ceremonies are all lived streamed online here: Live Stream
  • Don’t stress about bringing a graduation gift to the Commencement Ceremony, you can preorder a gift and flowers and then pick them up at the Commencement Ceremony online here: The Commencement Group
